The 25th Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF) featured a walk-in production
event for the feature-length animated film 'Gill', which took place at the Korea Cartoon
Museum 1st floor screening room on October 22.
'Gill', co-produced by NAMU Animation and Pencil and Meditation, is a work based on
the novel 'Gill' by author Goo Byung-mo. Directed by Ahn Jae-hoon, it is his sixth
feature-length animated film.
The film tells a beautiful and cruel story about a boy who grows gills towards the end
of his life. At the event, Ahn introduced the main characters and discussed the story
behind setting the movie in France. The presentation also included a 3-minute highlight
video and the introduction of hidden stories within the film.
YouTuber Duck Yang-so co-hosted the presentation.
